About the Business
I started my beauty career by training at Champneys College of Health and Beauty in Tring, Hertfordshire. I graduated in 1983 with national and international diplomas. Sadly, I lost my father whilst taking my finals. I was still only 18. I got a job within the Churchill Hotel, Portman Square, and then a flat in Maida Vale W9. I had a wonderful time working at the Grosvenor House, meeting and working on many celebrities and important clients like Felicity Kendall, Gene Hackman, Don Johnson, Kurt Douglas, Jaqueline Smith, Helen Stewart, (wife of racing legend Jackie Stewart), Dianne Cillento, (wife of Sean Connery) the late Nina Simone and Jonathen Aitken MP and quite a few of the Forte family, the then owners of the hotel. In 1989 I chose to become a mobile therapist taking some of my clients with me. This included the late, great actor Herbert Lom, who stayed with me till my move to Witney in 2004. We became great friends and I miss him dearly.
